Universal Cable (Sarawak) Sdn. Bhd. shall ensure, so far as is practicable, the safety, health and welfare at work of all its employees, contractors, suppliers, customers and the public in its area of operations, and comply with legal and other compliance requirements.
The Company is also committed to the prevention of injury and ill health of its employees and of continual improvement in Occupational Safety and Health management and performance.
The Safety and Health program will include routine evaluation of scope, appropriateness and effectiveness to determine if it has met or made progress toward its objectives, if its policy and procedures are relevant and appropriate and if its policy, regulations, procedures and facilities continue to meet legal and other requirements.
Safety and Health awareness will be promoted among employees through Induction programs and regularly scheduled briefing and training sessions, as and when appropriate. For contractors, suppliers, customers and visitors, they will be informed either through Memo Circulation or briefing sessions.
In line with the Company commitment, it is further expected that all employees shall always be committed towards practicing safety and health while at work.
